The Beauty of My Eyes: A Glimpse Into the Stories They Hold There’s something extraordinary about the human eye—how it holds not just the world we see, but the essence of who we are. Growing up in Nigeria, and more specifically, as an Igbo person, I often heard elders say that the eyes are the "windows to the soul." It wasn’t just a m etaphor. The eyes, they taught us, tell the story of a person’s life, their joys, struggles, and the dreams they carry. In the Western world, where life is often fast-paced and driven by logic, it’s easy to forget the depth of what our eyes reveal.
